Traffic Stop Leads To Charges

A traffic stop in Collingwood has lead to police laying a number of charges.

A traffic stop in Collingwood has lead to police laying a number of charges.

Around 9 o'clock on Thursday night, an officer stopped a vehicle on Peel Street near McKean Crescent.

The officer found out the plates were reported stolen which led to the arrest of the male driver.

Further investigation led to the discovery of another set of stolen Ontario license plates in the vehicle.

The 18 year old driver from Collingwood is also charged with being a minor in possession of cannabis.

He faces other charges including failing to stop at a stop sign, and driving without a licence or insurance.
