Wasaga Beach council is considering bringing back the doctor recruitment program.
A recent staff report states that the town used to have a successful program.
It was scaled back in 2012 as the town had attracted a number of family physicians.
The report says the last doctor brought to town under this program was in 2015.
In 2016 and 2017, the budget for this program was reduced to zero and in 2018 the program was taken out of the budget.
The report says the need for more doctors continues and staff will look at details for the new program as part of the 2020 budget and bring the information to a council committee for consideration.
