Victims Hit By Barrie Tractor Were Married Couple From Mexico

More details have been released about a fatal accident in Barrie involving a snow removal tractor.

Barrie Police say it hit two women crossing the intersection of Mapleview and Veterans Drives early Friday morning, killing one woman and seriously injuring another.

The victim has since been identified as 26-year-old Cinthia Cisneros and her partner, Juanita Solorio (26), who remains in hospital in stable condition. 

The two Bradford women, who were originally from Mexico, had reportedly just finished cleaning the Barrie Nissan dealership on Veterans and were walking to their next job at the Barrie Ford dealership on Mapleview when the accident happened. 

The 22-year-old female driver of the tractor was also taken to hospital to be treated for shock. 

According to Genesis 360, the married couple had recently moved to Canada about two months ago in search of a better life.

So far, no charges have been laid as the investigation continues.
