Many of us and our children have summer memories of Camp Kitchi.

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka has marked the 100th anniversary of Camp
Kitchikewana on Beausoleil Island.

This past weekend (September 6 to 8), 400 camp alumni and friends celebrated at the camp.

A wall of distinction was unveiled. It honours 20 camp alumni including former camp directors who had a big impact on the camp.

An endowment fund has also been set up to make sure experiences at this camp continue for generations to come.

The fund has received 940 thousand dollars in donations.
