The CFIA says that food that is contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin could go noticed as it may not look or smell spoiled but can still bring about illness.
Some symptoms could be loss of facial expression, unreactive or fixed pupils, difficulty swallowing, drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, a hard time speaking or slurred speech and a change in the sound of your voice, according to the agency.
They also say that in the worst cases it could be fatal. Still, there have been no reports of sickness due to consumption as of now.
