Wasaga Beach council has been busy at its latest meeting.
Council has approved the Open Patios program for 2021 and has directed staff to examine the possibility of lowering the speed limit in town from 50km/hr to 40km/hr.
Council also agreed to keep controls in place that prohibit chickens in backyards.
Some of the other highlights include:
- New condominium proposed for River Road West property
- Subdivision agreement approved for Stonebridge development
- Staff to start processing site plan application for twin-pad arena and library
- Open Patios program rolling out again this year
- Town investing in Ramblewood Drive reconstruction
- Town retains firm to spearhead design for redevelopment of Glendale Park
- Contract approved for outdoor waste receptacles
- Orchard Park Drive Pedestrian Bridge replacement project going ahead
