The OPP has established a dedicated tip line in the hopes of solving a recent Wasaga Beach abduction.
37-year-old Elnaz Hajtamiri (right) was abducted from her Wasaga Beach Trailwood Place home on Jan 12th.
Police say the suspects, three black men, fled in a white Lexus RX (below).
The three had claimed to be police officers with a warrant for her arrest – they were dressed in police gear, but not actual police uniforms.
When the homeowner became suspicious and tried to call 9-1-1, he was overpowered and Elnaz was abducted.
At a press conference held at OPP Headquarters in Orillia today, Det. Inspector Matt Watson said police established the tipline 1-833-728-3415 and the social media hashtag #BringElnazHome in the hopes of gaining tips from the public that will lead to her being found.
Anyone with info is asked to call the tip line or the OPP non-emergency number at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
