The OPP is investigating an attempted robbery at the Petro Canada in Wasaga Beach and is now requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects.
On June 11th just after 1:26 a.m., Huronia West OPP responded to the Petro Canada on River Road West.
Police say a female suspect remained at the entrance, while the male suspect approached the counter.
He asked the employee for some items, then made a demand for money while brandishing a knife. The employee was able to scare them off, at which time they fled the store without incident.
Suspect descriptions:
· Male suspect: Male, white, approximately 25 to 30 years of age, wearing a blue sweater with Bryan’s Roofing on it, a red bandana covering his chin and grey track pants.
· Female suspect: Female, thin build, approximately 45 years old, brown hair, wearing a black sweater with a hood and white running shoes.
The investigation is ongoing.
