Members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Collingwood Fire Department responded to a house fire on Rhonda Road on Saturday evening. The Ontario Fire Marshall has been called to assist with the investigation.
Shortly after 8:00pm on March 23, 2024 Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP were dispatched to assist the Collingwood Fire Department at a residential fire on Rhonda Road in Collingwood. All of the residents had safely gotten out of the residence prior to emergency services arrival. One resident was assessed by Simcoe County Paramedic Service and transported to a local hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. The Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to determine the origin of the blaze. The police investigation is being lead by the Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment OPP Crime Unit.
