The town of Wasaga Beach has taken steps to protect an award-winning green space within the town.
Council voted to unanimously reject water and wastewater servicing proposed for a development on the site once known as Wasaga Sands Golf Course.
As a result, the Town has declared it will not enter into any development agreements or accept any of the public works proposed by the developer, such as roads, water and wastewater.
Council’s decision is focused on protecting the integrity of the Town’s current and future water and wastewater infrastructure, and long-term planning.
