Wasaga Beach has taken a significant next step in the reinvention of Beach Area 1.
The RFP (Request for Proposal) for the redesign and reconstruction of Beach Drive has been awarded to the locally owned and operated firm of Arnott Construction.
The improvement of roads and infrastructure along Beach Drive and at the town’s main commercial area at Beach Area 1 will resolve flooding issues and make the area climate resilient according to Mayor Brian Smith.
In so doing – the road is paved to unlock millions of dollars in investment including a mixed-use, residential and commercial development – and a premium hotel that is set to built next year by Sunray Group.
