There’s a new bus line going from the Blue Mountain resort to Collingwood and through to Wasaga Beach.
That means skiers, boarders and commuters have a way to get to the hill at an affordable cost.
Blue Mountains Mayor Ellen Anderson says the transit service has been a long time coming.
The bus will run for a few hours in the morning and again in the evening hours.
Anderson says the Blue Mountains is putting up $18,000 for the six month pilot project.
The Blue Mountain Resort is contributing $40,000 in seed money.
Anderson says the resort also committed to put up an additional $10,000 a year, for two years, if the project becomes permanent.
Anderson says ideally the service would run west into the Blue Mountains but she understands the usage will be higher in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.
