Don’t plan on cooking up your own grub at Sunset Point Park in Collingwood.
Council has voted to ban the use of BBQs and other similar cooking devices for the rest of 2020.
The decision was made based on safety concerns of people gathering around the BBQs and not practicing physical distancing as well as worries about hot cooking devices being close to others and unsafe disposal of coals.
NOTICE: BBQ's & cooking devices are banned from Sunset Point Park until the end of the summer. This ban includes the park, parking areas, & adjacent streets. Fines will be $150. Built-in BBQ's will either be removed or locked down. Signage will be in place https://t.co/EyfXl9Kp6l pic.twitter.com/65bMjqZZB9
