There has been a major pot bust in Stayner.
Police executed a Cannabis Act search warrant yesterday at a home they say was being used as an online cannabis business called “Chronic The Hedge Hog”.
Officers seized $80, 297 of cannabis products including marihuana, shatter, cannabis resin and cannabis edibles.
Six people in the residence were taken into custody, including three men and three women, ranging in age from 24 to 53.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
The accused include:
Michael Hutchinson (age 33) of Stayner, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Lisa Miller (age 52) of Collingwood, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
David Varley (age 49) of Stayner, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Debby Varley (age 53) of Stayner, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Ashley MacIntyre (age 24) of Wasaga, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Christopher Hutchinson (age 36) of Stayner, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
- Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Michael Hutchinson was held for bail. The remaining accused were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on December 15, 2020.
