Barrie Mayor Jeff Lehman plans to jump to provincial politics.
He’s led the city since 2010, but has announced he’s seeking the nomination for the Liberals in Barrie-Springwater Oro-Medonte for the June election.
He also indicated he’s “all in” and will not run for mayor again in the fall.
Lehman says the province needs “principled and pragmatic leaders” and he believes it’s time to see if he can have an impact on a broader stage.
