The Town of Collingwood is getting tough with dog owners who don’t obey leash laws.
Town Council has voted to implement a one year trial that will see zero tolerance for any dog off leash in public.
Bylaw officers can issue a ticket when they first see or have a confirmed incident of a dog being off-leash anywhere other than town-sanctioned off leash dog parks.
Town Bylaw services say 25 warnings have already been issued since mid May.
